Freedom Ride Excerpts Available Online
I have now posted on YouTube three excerpts from the gala preview of Freedom Ride at Longue Vue House and Gardens on October 20, 2011. Please feel free to share these! This is just the very beginning of the long process of funding, creating, and producing the full opera, and Longue Vue is still actively seeking support for this project. I am so grateful to executive director Joe Baker and everyone on the board and staff for both dreaming up this idea and for working so hard to make it happen. I am also equally grateful to my stellar collaborators, most of them colleagues or students, and all of them dear friends.
